Directing & Dramaturgy
As an artist, my goal is to create theatre that serves as a catalyst for social change. My work is energized by service to community, mentorship, and a commitment to social justice. I work to create rehearsal and performance processes that are safe, just, and trauma informed. As a theatre for social change practitioner, it’s important to me to understand why I am doing a particular production: who is it serving? How is it telling the story? Am I the appropriate storyteller for this production? I use my skills as a dramaturg to ask nuanced questions, and my experience as a director to explore these in rehearsal rooms.
